BUILDING A LEARNING TRADITION FOR REAL ESTATE TRAINING IN SUPPORT OF THE UNIFORM ACT

On March 12, 2003, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) entered into a partnership for real estate training and education in support of the Uniform Act.

In this partnership, the USACE and the FHWA will work together to identify and develop training opportunities that will support real estate training to meet the requirements of the Uniform Act and to promote excellence in Uniform Act acquisition and relocation activities and other training goals.

The USACE and the FHWA are committed to working jointly on activities to:

• Promote and encourage quality training
• Eliminate duplication
• Assess education and training needs
• Examine training outreach initiatives with colleges, universities and other training institutions.
