Course Title: Real Estate Workshop - Uniform Act Overview Course Number: 141039 (Technical Assistance) Sponsoring Organization: Federal Highway Administration/Office of Real Estate Services Course Description:A one or one-and-a-half day technical assistance workshop that provides an overview of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (as amended). An FHWA staff member instructor conducts a workshop to address not only the "how" but the "why" of the Uniform Act. Emphasis is on the acquisition aspects of the Uniform Act, including appraisal, appraisal review and negotiations with an overview of relocation assistance. The workshop provides for networking and discussion of agency issues. (Note: Workshop can also incorporate select Title 23 Right-of-way program implementation and reimbursement topics if desired.)
Since this workshop is tailored to meet the needs of the audience, the objectives will vary depending on the requestor.
Target Audience:Federal, State, and Local Public Agency Staff, consultants and others managing or participating in real estate acquisition for Federal or Federally funded projects.

where IRWA Course 501 leaves off. Using case studies, students calculate
rental assistance payments, down payment assistance payments, price differential
payments, mortgage interest differential payments, and incidental expense
payments in complicated, yet realistic, situations, which may be encountered
in any project. Lead agency- preferred solutions are furnished as well
as alternate solutions in those situations where other Federal agencies
