ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE ISSUES FOR MPOS

This workshop discusses strategies that may be appropriate for integrating environmental justice (EJ) concerns in the transportation planning process. Using travel demand forecasting models and GIS as tools for analyzing the impacts of EJ considerations is provided through national case studies.

OVERVIEW OF TRAVEL DEMAND FORECASTING

This course provides an introduction to the jargon and basic concepts of travel demand forecasting. It is designed for non-modelers and presented in non-technical terms. The structure, assumptions, output and limitations of a typical 4-step travel demand model are discussed.
