Conference on Polymer Composites II 2001
Attached for your review and distribution to appropriate State and
local agency DOT personnel is a copy of the announcement for the subject
conference, to be held at the Lake Scanticon Conference Center in Morgantown,
West Virginia, November 14-16, 2001. The announcement outlines the Vision
and Mission Statements for the conference, as well as the objectives to be
achieved.
As a member of the steering committee that developed the program,
we strongly encourage your staff to budget FY 2002 resources to participate in
this worthwhile event, including the short course on "Composite Design for
Infrastructure Applications." It is considered an excellent follow-up to
the first conference held two-and-a-half years ago in Parkersburg, West
Virginia
Two versions of the announcement are attached, depending on the
software available in your office for printing it.
We appreciate your support of this worthwhile opportunity for your
staff to network with the States, industry, and academia. The outcome of
the conference will have a positive affect in furthering FHWAs goal to
incorporate high performance materials that reduce the life cycle cost of
constructing bridges.
